She smiled and your heart constricted. She was so beautiful, so full of life. She was yours.
She cried, and your own tears joined hers. Her sobs carried the pain of the world, her eyes, the tiredness of a thousand marathons. She wiped her tears and on her hands the last vestiges of despair were still sparkling softly under the yellow light.
You observed her. You watched her. You led her to believe that every problem in this vast universe could be solved because you said so. Because you were her hero.
You cared for her. You made her company as she stayed with you day and night as well, as you flew to the other side of earth, as you walked to the other side of the street.
You loved her. Tenderly. Passionately. Crazily. Incomprehensibly. Honestly.
And as the years passed, and as the world kept spinning and wrinkles appeared at the corner of your eyes, at the base of her neck, on your strong hands, on her soft forehead, you kept loving her so. Just like you did when you were young. Just like you did when you both said I do. Just like when she gave you another life.
You loved her as she smiled at you yet again, just like that first time when you heart swelled with an indescribable emotion - when you knew she was the woman you wanted to spend the rest of your life with.
You loved her as she whispered back her love and closed her eyes.
You loved her as you placed water lilies on the ground that protected her last remains.
You loved her as you laid on your bed and thought of her one last time.
You closed your eyes, and before you would cross the border between this realm and that of mysterious fantasies, you loved her and your soul went to search for her.
